Fiesta Like There's No Mañana

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

It's time to Fiesta! Our Cinco de Mayo party was nacho average party, but taco 'bout fun! We can't wait to share all the festivities with you!

Let's get this party started!

If you haven't downloaded our Party Like a Piñata printables, go ahead and click the link to do that right now. We'll wait.

Done? Good! Now:

It's a lot, right? From large and small signs, to large and mini flags and cupcake picks and liners, you'll be all set for your fiesta fun!

By the way, if you would like to have a customized party designed just for you, feel free to email us at confettiaffairs2020@gmail.com ! We love to make your events extra special!

The Tablescape

We ordered serape table runners, a festive backdrop and balloon garland, and miniature piñatas, maracas, and sombreros from Amazon. Don't worry! We've linked our favorites in our Confetti Affairs Storefront so that you can easily find it all!

The plates (and bowls) were from Amazon as well. We added the colorful cloth napkins (a Target find from a couple of years ago) and the Fiestaware cutlery. The Blue Rocco Highball glasses and goblets are from World Market.

Our local Kroger came through once again for the beautiful centerpiece flowers! Not only are El Mexicano ingredients delicious, they make the best tablescape accessories. We used them in our centerpiece and for a fresh little bouquet at each place setting.

Finally we made pompoms and tassels and adorned just about everything with them and festive ribbons from Hobby Lobby.

The Menu

We served appetizers of chips and homemade salsa, fresh guacamole, tortilla stack-ups, and 9-layer dip. Entrees included a taco bar, nachos, and chicken enchiladas. Of course, we wouldn't forget the desserts! We also had plenty of confections on hand: sopapilla cheesecake, apple enchiladas, Mexican hot chocolate cookies, and sopapilla cupcakes made the evening extra sweet! We've shared some of the recipes here and will have even more in our next Recipes Worth Celebrating.

The Favors

We absolutely love the simplicity of these cute little party mementos! We painted small terra cotta pots, lined them with assorted colors of small pieces of tissue paper, and filled them with Hot Tamales candy.

We wish you a happy Cinco de Mayo! We can't wait to hear all about your celebration!
